custom laptop skins for asus EEE PC 8G, 4G and 2G

you can order any design from laptopskins.net as a custom notebook sticker for your Asus EEE PC 2G, 4G or 8G right now: simply order the skin as a custom size and enter the dimensions 21.5 cm x 15.4 cm (8.46 in x 6.06 in) - the skin will fit your EEEPC perfectly. Check out the selection and make your EEEPC stand out even more! there are more images on flickr.

I just wanted to say that those looked fabulous.

Apparently a little too fabulous to be true.

Since, at this point, I have apparently been defrauded by this company, and I use the term in only the loosest sense.

Apparently, they will quite happily accept payments, then completely ignore you from there on in.

Well, let me clarify, both laptopskins.net AND aspoke/DigitalMessenger.

I doubt I will see this comment on here tomorrow, but I can only hope that I save someone some money, time, and hassle.

I can most certainly guarantee that I will never, ever, suggest laptopskins to anyone.

Oooh dear, that comment doesn't sound promising!

I must say that my initial impression was that it was a little tricky to contact you via your website. Three questions:

1) Will you be producing graphics for the Eee PC 901?
2) Would I be able to send in a graphic/photo of my own for you to turn into a print?
3) How do you reply to negative press like that? :-S I'm a bit worried now, I saw your Eee photos on Flickr and you seemed reputable.

Any reassurances would be greatly received.

Well, I will say I did finally receive my skin and I am quite happy with the quality of the skin (although I did, ahem, recruit some help).

On the other hand, I still have yet to hear any communication from any of the involved parties, so I am not sure how soon anyone will ever get a response.

Does anyone know the dimensions for ASUS Eee 901 or is it enough if I mention the model number in the order?

sami, you can probably google the dimension, but telling us the model of your laptop will be enough.

chris, our skins are made to measure, so if you require any of our design for an EEE PC 901, just give us the dimensions you need and we will supply a laptop skinthat fits your computer.

sean, i'm very sorry about the delay - glitches like that don't usually happen. i have gotten some info from aspoke, the company that handles production, shipping, and customer service for laptopskins.net regarding the delays that occured earlier this year.

our laptopskins are printed and shipped from poland, where the postal service has been going on and off strike since april, causing massive delays in the shipping of some of our customers' orders. yours seems to have been affected by those circumstances. http://www.polishmarket.com.pl/document/:17248

i am very sorry about this, especially about not being able to let you know sooner that your order would be delayed.

i am working with aspoke to ensure faster and better communication in the future, so that a situation like this should not happen again.

the strike aside, we ship laptop skins worldwide and have no way to speed up delivery - the average running time is between 3 and 12 business days, usually - sometimes, it may take longer to reach you, depending on where you live.

Well, I did finally get it, and I do love it.

It wasn't the shipping time I was complaining about, though. I can be patient.

What DID bother me though was ordering for the first time from an overseas company and never receiving ANY notification or acknowledgment of any kind of order.

Put rather bluntly, doing business that way smells bad and makes people suspicious. Unfortunately, anyone can have an awfully nice website with nothing real behind it.

However, it did finally arrive, and I was quite happy with the quality of the skin. I am recommending laptopskins to friends, albeit with heavy caveats about the ordering process.

I should have read these comments before placing my order on December 21st, because I haven't got my skin. I have sent mail to the address on PayPal receipt and to the aspoke.com support, no answer. I will contact PayPal on January 19th to get my money back, if nothing happens.
